A gorgeous and tranquil yoga retreat in the Algarve

We started coming to the Algarve for family summer holidays when I was nine years old and on my last visit I was 21 which, without giving too much away, was a very long time ago.

So I was excited to come back and see if my recollections of this part of Portugal were accurate or rose tinted. My memories were of wide and endless beaches, white sand, grassy dunes, Atlantic waves that knocked me flying, water slide parks and midnight swims.

But on this occasion there would be no water parks. Instead there would be yoga. A slightly different vibe but a much needed few days away from the hectic pace of life in London.
